The Inside Pass Mid-Season Update
The Inside Pass would like to thank all of our wonderful followers for your patience during the first half of the 2010 season. The year started off strong and we had a great time at the May Indy Tweetup! And we’re already working hard to plan the Winter Indy Tweetup – you’ll be updated as soon as we have details to share.
But throughout all of this, we’ve definitely learned one major lesson so far this year – “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans.”
We’re going to be honest. We jumped head-first into it, thinking we had the perfect setup and ready to ride it til the wheels fell off. We expected a perfect race without the test drive. Our only focus when we started this thing was giving the fans what they wanted. That remains our focus, but we’re learning that we need to learn. And that our lives outside of racing sometimes put us into the marbles.
The bottom line is this – The Inside Pass is still here. We’re working hard to plan a successful second half of 2010, but our main focus now lies on the WIT and the 2011 season. We’ll be at most of the remaining races on this year’s schedule, with a goal of being fully prepared to offer you exclusive race coverage and an incredible Pileup at nearly every race next year. We want you to know that we’re committed to you and value your opinions. We’ve said it many times this year – What do YOU want? Tell us who you want to meet, what giveaways you want us to do, any wild and crazy ideas to make your race experience even better. We’re all ears.
Also, for the remainder of the 2010 races, we’ll be giving away the “Up Close & Personal” IndyCar calendars at the races we’ll be attending. The calendars benefit the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation and UMP (the funding source of The Inside Pass). The 2011 calendars will be available for purchase later this year.
